As the Conquest Chamber ship was sinking, Loxen and Aragir had managed to take a lifeboat and made their way there to save the remaining victims. On their way they saw a pregnant dragonborn lady struggling, and promptly saved her from the water, though they could not yet return to shore.

On the now capsized ship, the remaining Skullmaster was still trying to kill whoever was left. When they arrived at the ship, Aragir handed Loxen a Potion of Speed and swiftly held the Skullmaster with Hold Person to allow the Paladin to attack him with full force.

With help of the Fold, Cynic and Soul had managed to set sail with the Rattler’s ship so they could assist the others in battle.

While they were on their way to the other ship, Soul decided to investigate the captain’s quarters, closely followed by Cynic.

They both seemed to be looking for something, though Soul tried to keep her intentions and findings hidden from the other. She managed to hide the captain’s log she had found in her pocket. Nevertheless, Cynic was somewhat suspicious, and warned her against causing harm or trouble to the crew. Later, Soul also found an ornate captain’s cloak that seemed inconspicuous other than the fact that its pockets were wet, as well as an alchemy table with potions and a note. Among several ingredients one thing was emphasized; “Makes you blue”. Cynic remarked that an old friend of his was well versed in alchemy.

Cynic found a map with various writings on it. The locations were familiar to him; the Wandering Isles, Avalon and Esuna. There were lines indicating possible travel routes, the most recent one going from the Wandering Isles to the Eastern Kingdoms. It seemed to all start in the North of Esuna, at a marked village called Ornham. A note written underneath it read; “No Bloodknights”* Near the Eastern Kingdoms close to Elkenvale the question “Fyren?” was written. A lot of villages and places across the map seemed to be crossed out.

From various books and scriptures Cynic noticed the recurring title “FMA Gerrymander”, which was noticeably different from the name that could be read on the ship’s hull; Scylla. It appeared that the ship had been renamed after it was taken over by the Rattlers. He trailed further along the wall until he found a section that contained a small vault, and knowing the code he proceeded to open it. Inside he found a leather half-mask resembling a beard, and various potions. One with a silvery misty liquid, and one with a bright green substance. The latter he could recognise as a potion that was frequently used to help in persuading others.

Soul tried to inquire a little about Cynic’s crew, though they both found that perhaps now was not the time.

The two eventually reached the capsized ship and joined in on the battle with the Skullmaster. One of the Scarlet members landed on the ship’s crow’s nest while the other member continued to take victims from the water.

Though the Skullmaster nearly Disintegrated Aragir’s brother Erevan, the Four Feathers eventually turned the tide of battle and killed him. Though the danger had not yet subsided. The Golem was yet engaged with one of the Scarlet members, and the ship the Feathers were standing on was still sinking. Commander Undu and his unit had joined the fray and were assisting the Fold in their struggle.

Though Druindar was still missing.

Defeated, Erevan dropped to his knees, though when Aragir attempted to assist him he promptly stood back up and dove in the water. The wizard quickly asked Taz where he had last seen his older brother, and so Taz, too, jumped into the sea, followed by Aragir himself.

Once Druindar was found Aragir sent a firebolt upward, so that Loxen could assist them in bringing him up. But, back on the ship they found the elder brother was not yet breathing. For a moment all hope seemed to be lost, but Loxen’s Lay on Hands seemed to have brought life back to him.

While Aragir and Loxen were busy helping Druindar, Soul checked to see if the defeated Skullmaster was wearing anything of importance. Aside from some gold, she found a star-shaped amulet, as well as a shortsword with a pitch black blade that faintly emanated a black smoke. After the Skullmaster’s defeat, Cynic had started to assist the remaining Conquest members and refugees in boarding the Scylla.

Just as the Four Feathers were about to return to shore, another exceptionally bright and large beam of light shot upward from the direction of Elkenvale…
