Sessionlog

As Cynic was lead downstairs by Geralt, the tiefling turned and asked him why he kept coming back to them, to which the sorcerer replied that they reminded him of his past, and that their cooperation excited him. Satisfied with the answer, he was then lead further to a large round table. Seated there were Vinny, as well as a large male orc, who was now in the possesion of Lilarcor, and beside him a woman who appeared human.
To those who did not yet know him, Cynic introduced himself as the leader of the famous Four Feathers, and then told them that he had a lead against the Obsidian Fist. He was promptly asked why Geralt had recently located him in Istros Borealis, though he did not answer this question.
In turn for dismantling the Obsidian Fist, Cynic proposed that the Getaways help him in his fight against the Wardens. Vinny and the others agree that both the Obsidian Fist and the Wardens should be dealt with. According to their sources, the two may in fact be working together, and that the Wardens were likely to be found in a lighthouse up the Hoarder's Appeal
Aside from this, Vinny offered him another job; If he could rile up a goblin tribe in the Siren Woods to spark new interest in the Getaways' protection, it would improve his reputation within the organisation. To be able to communicate with Geralt, Cynic was given an enchanted silver coin through which he could send the tiefling messages.

While Cynic was with the Getaways, Aragir and Delbellis went to the royal palace in order to receive a permit as proof of the arrangement they had previously made with Queen Thezmare Shatterbane. Though they were initially met with some resistance from the guards, Druindar eventually emerged from the gates to speak with them.
The elder brother sent the guards away, and then handed them a golden medal that would serve as proof of the arrangement.
He also carefully informed them that the queen had sent troops both to Myrneas and the White Mountains up north, and that he had begun to lose faith in the royal family and Brassdorf. Hence, he would soon be leaving his post at the Golden Garde and travel to a place called Diremount, a fishing town beyond the Dominion's reach far up North. There he planned to find and guide their younger brother Erevan, who would arrive there to perform a special task together with a group he met in Avalon. To reach Diremount, they could follow a pathway along the coast called the Wanderer's Trail.

In the meantime, Cerrule had arrived at the Golden Forge, where she had the blacksmith identify the magic armour she had recently found on the pirate ship. After some inspection, the smith told her that it is an armour of truth; Those who wear it cannot tell lies. The druid concluded that the party could not use the armour effectively, and thus decided to sell it instead.

Eventually, the group reconvened at the Heart of Quartz, where they bought several things for their upcoming journey as the decided where to go next. Kaimos reminded them of the treasure map Cerrule had found, and they decided that they would be following it next.
After using the royal medal as proof at the palace, they were given a cloak of protection (+1 AC, +1 on saving throws), Amulet of Hiding(scry/detect protection), some Potions of Greater Healing and vambraces for Cerrule. From there they proceeded to take their horses from the Brassdorf stables and traveled to the coast not far up North from the city.

Once there, they spotted three figures who appeared to be looking for something themselves. Aragir's Clairvoyance spell revealed that they were members of the Obsidian Fist tasked with finding the very same treasure the map had revealed, and that they were attempting to lift a large chest that they had just dug up.
To stop them, Delbellis flew ahead and threw her recently crafted Tornado in a Bottle down at them. This easily dispersed them, and the group managed to subdue them soon after. Once tied up, the men were questioned about their actions and who sent them there, and why they worked with the Obsidian Fist. After intimidation from Kaimos, one of them explained that they tried to regain their freedom through working with them. Soon, Obsidian Fist reinforcements appeared in the distance, their leader wearing a black mask, and the group was forced to retreat. Aragir quickly shrunk the chest, after which Kaimos took it with him through his dimension door.

Once back at the inn in Brassdorf, they found that the lobby was as far as Kaimos could take the chest before it returned to its regular size, much to the confusion of the innkeep. They managed to get it upstairs, and Kaimos was able to unlock it with a spell. Inside, they found several Volentis Crystals, and soon several of them are enraptured with the crystals' soothing effects.
Using the Skull Ring Aragir was able to find out how Weylin was able to extract energy from the crystals; The crystals effectively functioned much like the arcane foci most magic users were familiar with, though they were able to channel Yggdrasil's energy instead of its user's. To gain back his powers, Weylin would harness this energy to feed his crown.
There was some dispute about what to do with the crystals, though eventually they decided that they would bring them to Eldgran Wiscard first and seek his councel. In order to throw off the Obsidian Fist that would surely follow them, they filled the large chest with rocks and brought it to the city gates, where they buried it lightly.

Now that they had possibly given away their location at the Snoring Lobster, perhaps it was best to leave Brassdorf as soon as possible...
