Summary

As the final blow to the strange creature is being delivered, a magical door appears. Here, another similar creature steps out to yank away the wounded one and disappear... Whispertale is saved! On the floor, a book written in a strange language was dropped right as the door disappears. But regardless, the village is saved and the party is victorious. For both the client and their guild, the Adventurer's Guild. A reward surely awaits!

Still, the book remains a problem. It cannot be read by any of the party but it can hold a clue to the creatures it was owned by. Or what even happened to them. After a debrief session with the Whispertale mayor, it was suggested to have the book examed by a researcher currently visiting Abador; Eldgran Wiscard.

As the party finishes up to take a well deserved rest, Bolgar Largebuckle approaches. A small task if they're to go to Abador, after all. The party is asked to pick up an item at the Midway Outpost, an old watch tower in Redfox Fields. To make this official, Bolgar signs a letter of proof for the party to take and show at the tower.

The party beds for the night at Sleepwhisper Inn. As they wind down, they take another look at the strange book. It is clearly unreadable, but... something's found between two pages. A small note, written in a more readable language; something about collecting royal blood and regrouping in Brassdorf. With this information in mind, the group takes their rest...

The next morning the party departs towards Abador through Midway Outpost. As they ride over the Madelaine Plains, the book is yet again examined. Its language appears geometrical in shapes and style and, upon closer inspection, appears to form these clearer when putting two pages closer together. And they ride on for another three days before arriving at the Midway Outpost.

Here, they meet up with Eri Boulderbane, the lead of a small watchers group. She gives the party a small parcel that needs to be delivered to captain Jade Aewynn of Abador. The party accepts this follow-up quest. As they depart, the party decides to talk to some of the guards here. Here, it is revealed some of the contents of the parcel. A cylinder shaped object resides inside that was found by an exploratory team at the Daggerborne Ruins. One of the guards, Ursim Orcmaster, would know more. And he would tell they encountered this object lodged in the wall and was pulled out right before fleeing the scene by something scary. He claims not to have seen the reason for why his group ran but staying behind didn't feel good, either way.

The party departs the watch tower and towards Abador. As they travel, they decide to take a peek inside the parcel. What does this object look like? They carefully open it up, revealing a stone cylinder shaped bar. On each of its sides a dimly glowing symbol can be observed. None seemed to recognize it...

Two days later, they arrive at Abador. It is a large, busy, lively city - a huge difference with Whispertale. And as the party steps off, they stand before the main building for the Citywatch. Can captain Jade be found here...?
