White Mountains

Cerrule and Aragir kept the first watch of the night. During the watch Cerrule was curious about their upcoming fights and pondered about certain strategies and battle tactics. Delbellis meditates and feels like they're exactly doing what they need to do. In order to prepare for the upcoming battles, Delbellis prepares a sticky potion to possible root the enemy during the fight. Furthermore, the team discusses a couple of field tactics, pre-emptive buffing Delbellis for example, as she is somewhat the only melee fighter during combat. Cynic, meanwhile has been silent. He seems to be resting, but at the same time wide awake, as his eyes were wide open, staring into the ceiling.

While Cassius is still sleeping and recovering from his wounds, Kaimos seemed to be busy taking notes. Perhaps he is writing down their current journey or maybe doing some research. It could be that the current journey is wearing him down mentally.

The next watch is with Delbellis and Cynic. While the two kept watch, Cynic telepathically sent a message to Delbellis. 'We need to talk'. He did this in order not to disturb the others, some of them are still awake while resting. The two pretending to have a look at the traps and walked a bit further in the cave. Cynic seemed to be frustrated and irritated but also curious. He felt that Aragir and Cerrule have been hiding a lot of important information, that should have been shared with the team previously. He also felt that he could not understand what they want and what their personal goals are. Furthermore, conversations seem distant, as if certain opinions are to be disregarded. But most of all, he was completely blown away as to how the last battle ended.
He feels insignificant, he is but one being, the world is way bigger than it seems. Delbellis agrees and concludes that Cynic wants to be closer with the other two in the team. To end their conversation, Cynic and Delbellis check the traps just to be sure they are safe. While investigating, Delbellis hears insects of (large) varying sizes far away. Cynic however doesn't seem to care about any insects, as he could simply kill it with fire.

Aragir who sat with them and was awake, took out the magic teapot which they had acquired previously. After some inspections, he curiously rubbed it from the side. A big blob of turquoise smoke fills part of the area in front of Aragir. A monolith-like looking genie/elemental appears in front of him. The genie seems to be greatly thankful of Aragir, waking him from this cursed object. As a gift, he wishes to grant any wish they would like. After not being able to grant any wish, as the crew were undecided on this subject, he went back into the teapot, rather unceremoniously.

The second watch is about to come to an end. The feathers decide to take a good quick nap. While the others were resting, Aragir half asleep, dreams a part of the past. It was during his studies at the Scarlet Academy where he seemed to be following an seemingly important figure, named Alduin Leonelis. The two arrived at the main lobby, and Alduin introduces Aragir to the great library of the academy. They leave the main building and wander into the Scarlet Grounds, where some of the Scarlet residences live. It seemed to be a colorful area with vibrant environments and places. However, before long everything starts to fade away slowly and Aragir wakes up.

The Third Watch has started. The others seem to be still sleeping but Kaimos and Cassius were in a discussion. Kaimos questions his loyalty to the Crimson Dawn as Cassius attempts to keep him on the right path. Kaimos suspects there's greater forces at work in the world and to ignore his personal quest any longer would be a mistake. A lot seems to have been kept away from them, important information.

In the next morning, the party continues on. They arrive at a large chamber with some mining equipment and empty chairs with several reports on a table near. The party takes a moment to investigate but decide they'd rather keep going and leave the site, climbing a ladder at the far end wall and follow through a hallway ahead.
They come to a large round chamber with several decorated doorways, labelled of the region the paths will lead to: Whispertale Mines to the east, Howling Pass to the north-east, Diremound to the north-west, Elderwalk Mines to the west and of course the Hunter's Pass to the south. The northern doorway is labelled 'Eye of Calamity', which leads further up the mountain. The chamber and the following paths are well kept and refined, the party continues up the mountains as their footstep sounds fill the space around them.

As they approach the end of the tunnels and out onto the cliff side of the White Mountains, they meet Alenriel disciple of Weylin. He assumed a relaxing pose, illuminating the environment to almost daylight like. The party approach carefully as he begins to tell them his story and what his cause is. He comes from a long long time ago, when the world of Yggdrasil looked different and the deities were free from beyond the divine gate. A large asteroid hits the vibrant city, destroying it and separating the continent into several pieces. Yggdrasil transform dramatically over the next period of time until it looks as it does today and where once the vibrant city stood now only a crater remains in Istros Borealis. Alenriel wishes to remedy this all and undo the impact that released magicks onto this world. They use visions to foresee parts of the future to help Weylin destroy realms that are undesired and eliminate those who they label as deviant. As Alenriel explains his reasoning, in his sorrow he begins to grip his weapon...
