Heroic Deeds

As they arrived at the castle, the group sensed that something was amiss. Soon, Pietro Tiles emerged with Lenora Windheart on his arm. Calmly he stepped forth, though she seemed less assured. "Help!" She yelled, "He is not himself!" Pietro looked soulless, his eyes dimly lit with a stone buried deep into his forehead. The party could hardly fathom what was going on, though Aragir spotted an unmistakably familiar silhouet far in the distance. He sent his hawk towards it, but to his regret the creature effortlessly struck it down. Before anyone could do a thing, Pietro reached out to the whirling storm that hovered in the sky, and a deafening beam of energy shot down before the party. From this energy, three monsters rose; One of them an enormous creature that hid itself inside the thick smoke.

After a fierce battle, the party managed to defeat the monsters, and the stone fell off Pietro's forehead. As he regained consciousness, he confusedly asked what had happened. The royal pair explained that the culprits were mages, and that they had used their blood as an offer for something.

However, the danger had not yet subsided; In the background, the mindflayer was still hiding. The party prepared for another battle, but suddenly an unknown woman appeared. She was long, and she emitted a strong magical aura. Her hair was dancing as if it floated gently. With a potent spell that she spoke in Elvish, she effortlessly sent the mindflayer back into the abyss. The coast seemed clear for the time being...

An investigation led the group towards four suspects whose bodies were found on the floor; They were dwarf mages. Could they be responsible for the tower that fell onto Abador? Could the prediction the party had found earlier be coming true?
