Session 10
Marcy's father had been hurt, but to their luck a few guards making their daily rounds and scouting the area approached. The party told them what had happened, and gave an extensive account on the chimera they had encountered. They also mentioned that they had found an old ruin inside the forest. After a short rest, the party decided to continue their journey forward, and several hours later they spotted an enormous tower in the distance. When they got closer, it appeared that a large group of soldiers had made camp near the tower. At this camp they saw a familiar face; lieutenant Eri Boulderbane. Eri welcomed the adventurers, and suggested that they rested their horses and spent the night at the tower after such a long journey. The party told her that they planned to go to Brassdorf, and after some hesitation they decided to tell her everything about what was going to happen in Brassdorf, the White Mountains, Dukat, and their lead to the Wardens. Although Eri was astonished at first, she soon started to understand what had occured. She calmed them, and lead them to a room in the tower where they could rest. Aragir suggested that the others ate some, as they had all had a long journey.
That evening, Delbellis had a vision. She saw an enormous battle; a war between various races, and it seemed as though it could have been a conflict between the higher powers of this world. She briefly explained to the others what she had seen, and they wondered if it could have had something to do with the giant war that had occurred a hundred years ago. Although they could not rule out a possible war in the future.
The next morning, they decided to find Eri again, and they split up to go in various directions. Aragir decided to ascend the tower, Cynic looked around it, and Delbellis and Cerrule decided to scout the soldiers' campsite. During the search, Cynic was given a sealed letter, marked with a royal stamp, though he decided to not share its contents with the party just yet. There was something he had to find out in Brassdorf first. Eri was eventually found loudly commanding the soldiers in preparation for their journey to Abador. She greeted the party, and informed them that they could go into the top level of the tower before they would continue on their way to Brassdorf. High up in the tower, they had a beautiful view that stretched into the far distance. It was enough for them to spot even a part of the White Mountains and what looked like an enormous castle somewhere behind it. Could it be that the Mountains were inhabited?
The party eventually said their goodbyes to Eri, and mounted up for the road to Brassdorf...
