Realms

At the start of the Age of Discovery, the historical discovery was made at the Scarlet Academy that, indeed, the reality in which the world operates in is only one of many layers. Following further research it is believed that there are a total of 9 of these layers. The current named layers are as follows:

Material Plane

The material is plane is the plane in which the tangible world exists, ruled by the known laws of physics. The endless cycle of life and death, the universe perpetually lives on in this plane.

Astral Sea

The endless brightly lit but gray of realm of nothingness. While time runs at about the same pace as that of the material plane while inside the plane, the effects that time would have on a traveler is actually almost completely halted comparatively. Traveling through the Astral Sea may have travellers completely halt aging or even feeling hungry, and so a thousand years might feel like a single day to them.

Ethereal Plane

A layered dimension which is a copy of the material plane, with the main difference in which all material properties are replaced by a comparetively immaterial property. Here, the weight of mass or any mass do not exist in the same away. A traveler may feel weightless and could pass through materials that would otherwise be impassible. It is, however, impossible passing through organics.

Pandemonium

A realm existing of endless tunnes, sharp mountains and cliffs. The immensely strong winds in this storming realm carry with it every word, scream, and sound into endlessness. Because of this inherent effect, creatures capable of hearing will become temporarily deaf within seconds and permanently deaf within minutes. Conversations may be had standing really close together and shouting really loudly.

Abyss

A chaotic realm that houses the demons and devils. It houses the most violent and insane who may only survive in this realm by consuming another, or killing them.

Elysium

The realm of endless nature, where no stars or other celestial bodies exist. Its skies may change in color periodically, giving off a magical aesthetic to those observing it.

Elemental Plane

A series of layers, endless planes each, that are made out of the most primary elements such as fire, earth, wind and water.

Shadowlands

An endless realm of ruined cities, abandoned environments, and broken regions. This layer has no natural stars and therefore no sunlight. Its environment is dimly lit by a natural light emitted from the universe itself. 

Feywilds

The magics itself knows their roots coming from this realm. And it is believed from this realm the races of the world originated from, looking for a better place. This realm is a univere of infinite nature and energy, home to creatures of immense power. The magics of Yggdrasil may have leaked from this realm that was used to enchant scrolls, creating spells.
