In the early years of the 100-Year War, it is believed the tower was hastilty built to watch over the White Mountains and Woodville Hills as creatures poured out of the cursed portals, warning the surroundings forces to prevent surprise attacks and push back.

The tower was originally occupied by a pavilion of Elvish fighters, of which their leaders were honored by stone statues decorating the yard in front of the construct. It serves as a symbol of peaceful upkeep in and around the Redfox Fields.
