The group was briefed on the circumstances of the object, informing them about the [[Fold]] - a task force that works directly for the [[Basalt Dominion|Dominion]]- whom were sent to Abador after the Dominion was tipped about a potential attack on the city several weeks ago. A week before the party arrived, some northern regions near the city had increased activity from wild goblin tribes near the fields and [[Daggerborne Ruins]].
